Overview

Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu has been educating students for more than 50 years. The school offers Catholic Jesuit education and focuses on forming young men and women in Excellence, Leadership, and Service.

All applicants are required to go through the admission screening process. The Admission Committee deliberates on the academic requirements presented, results of standardized entrance examination administered by the Psychological Testing Services office, and when necessary, an interview with the Principal. All documents required for submission must be complete and correct; otherwise, the application will not be processed. Successful applicants are admitted on a first-come-first-served basis.

Preliminary Requirements to get an Application Form

EARLY EDUCATION

Nursery 1 

• Application for the school year begins every October.
• Age requirement: must be 3 years old on or before August 31

1.) Original and photocopy of PSA (formerly NSO) Birth Certificate
2.) Application and testing Fee: P 500.00

• Pre-screening schedule:
                     Monday-Thursday     1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Nursery 2 

• Application for the school year begins every October.
• Age requirement: must be 3 years old on or before August 31.
• Bring your child for Pre-screening together with the following:

1.) Original and photocopy of PSA (formerly NSO) Birth Certificate
2.) Certified true copy of report card (if applicable)
3.) Application and Testing Fee: P 500.00

• Pre-screening schedule:
               Monday-Thursday     1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Kinder 1 

• Application for the school year begins every October.
• Age requirement: must be 5 years old on or before August 31 (DepEd Order No.        16, s. 2015)
• Bring your child for Pre-screening together with the following:

1.) Original and photocopy of PSA (formerly NSO) Birth Certificate
2.) Application and testing Fee: P 500.00

• Pre-screening schedule:

GRADE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL

 • Required Documents for evaluation before the entrance examination.

            Note: No failing grade in any subject and in any quarter
                       For Letter Grades – please also provide numerical equivalent

JUNIOR HIGHSCHOOL DEPARTMENT

     ✔ Grade 9 (completed)
     ✔ Grade 10 (with 1st & 2nd quarter grades)
     Note: No failing grade in any subject and in any quarter
                Please provide numerical equivalent for letter grades

3.) Application and Testing Fee: P 500.00

Procedure for Admissions

GENERAL ADMISSION PROCEDURE

STEP 1: For Early Education applicants, bring the child and his/ her PSA Birth Certificate to the Psychological testing Services office for pre-screening.

For Grade School, Junior and Senior High School appplicants, present a copy of PSA Birth certificate and certified true copy of the report card with 1st & 2nd quarter grades to the Psychological testing Services office for evaluation.

STEP 2: Pay the testing fee of the qualified applicant at the Accounting office. Present the official receipt to the Psychological Testing Services office and claim the application kit.

STEP 3: Submit the completed application forms and other requirements to the Psychological  Testing Services office at least four (4) working days before the test date. An examination permit indicating specific details about the test schedule will be issued to the applicant.

STEP 4: Present the exam permit to the test proctor and take the admission tests on the scheduled date. Applicants are requested to be at the testing venue at least 30 minutes before the time.

STEP 5: When applicable, come for a scheduled interview at the Psychological testing Services office.

STEP 6: The Psychological Testing Services office will contact the parents/ guardians on the admission status of the applicant fifteen (15) working days after the entrance examination.

STEP 7: If accepted, parents/ guardians may get the Acceptance Letter in the Psychological Testing Services  office to pay a non-refundable/ non-transferable reservation fee on or before the deadline indicated.

Requirements for Admission (Foreign Applicants)

Requirements for Admission for Foreign Student-Applicants / Filipino Studying Abroad

  1. SUBMIT the following documents for evaluation to the SCHOOL REGISTRAR
    Incomplete requirements will not be processed.
  • If the applicant is NOT A FILIPINO citizen
  • If the applicant has DUAL CITIZENSHIP, submit a photocopy of PHILIPPINE PASSPORT and / or CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION as a Filipino citizen
    • Original PASSPORT
    • PHOTOCOPY of passport biodata page and latest admission with valid authorised stay
  • Parent’s Passport (Photocopy)
  • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) / I-CARD (Photocopy of front and back portion)
  • BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR FAMILY REGISTRY
  • COMPLETE & ORIGINAL SCHOOL RECORDS of all Grade Levels attended (from Pre-school to last grade level enrolled in); for NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES, have the school records DULY AUTHENTICATED BY THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY located in the student-applicant’s country of origin or legal residence, both in English and in his national alphabet
  • CERTIFICATE OF ENROLLMENT of the current school year or  CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION of last completed school year
  • SPECIAL STUDY PERMIT (SSP) for a foreign student enrolled in the Philippines of the current school year or of last completed school year
  • 2 pieces of 2×2 most RECENT IDENTICAL PICTURES with white background
  • Place all the requirements in a LONG BROWN ENVELOPE
  • The school will inform the applicant of the status of his/her application after 5 WORKING DAYS from submission of requirements.
  • If the applicant qualifies for the entrance exam, s/he pays for the non-refundable application and testing fee at the Accounting Office. S/he will proceed to the Testing Services Office with the receipt and claim the application form.
  • The School Registrar will return the documents submitted of non-qualified applicants.

 

  • OPEN slots are on first come first served basis.
  • The student applicant may start applying for entrance examination after s/he has passed the interview with the Registrar.
  • END OF APPLICATION is on May 31, 2017
