Overview

Sacred Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu has been educating students for more than 50 years. The school offers Catholic Jesuit education and focuses on forming young men and women in Excellence, Leadership, and Service.

All applicants are required to go through the admission screening process. The Admission Committee deliberates on the academic requirements presented, results of standardized entrance examination administered by the Psychological Testing Services Office, and when necessary, an interview with the Principal. All documents required for submission must be complete and correct; otherwise, the application will not be processed. Successful applicants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

ADMISSIONS for New Students / Transferees(S.Y. 2020-2021)

In response to the challenges brought about by the coronavirus-19 pandemic, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu is modifying its admission procedure for the incoming school year 2020-2021. Please be guided of the following application procedure and requirements:

Procedure for Admissions

ONLINE GENERAL ADMISSION PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Scan the applicant’s PSA Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic), and completed Report Card then send these documents to admissions@shs-adc.edu.ph for preliminary evaluation.

STEP 2: Wait for acknowledgment and confirmation through email to proceed to the next steps.

STEP 3: Pay the application fee through online banking or over-the-counter payment. Bank details will be provided in the email.

STEP 4:After payment is made, download the application forms attached in the email.

STEP 5: Submit through email the duly filled out application forms together with other required documents and a copy of proof of payment.

STEP 6: The Psychological Testing Services Office will contact the parents/guardians regarding the admission status of the applicant within 3-5 days after the submission of all requirements.

STEP 7: If accepted, parents/guardians will receive the acceptance letter and will be advised to proceed to the enrollment process.

EARLY EDUCATION

        • Scanned copy of the PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
        • Scanned copy of the Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
        • Digital image of applicant’s recent 1×1 ID picture (white background)
        • Scanned copy of the final, completed Report Card (if applicable)
        • Age requirement:

    Nursery 1 – must be 3 years old on or before August 31

    Nursery 2 – must be 4 years old on or before August 31

    Kinder – must be 5 years old on or before August 31

        • Scanned proof of payment of the application and processing fee: Php 500.00
        • Scanned duly filled out application forms

GRADE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL

GRADE SCHOOL and JUNIOR HIGH DEPARTMENT

For Grade 1 to Grade 10

  • Scanned copy of the PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
  • Scanned copy of the Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
  • Scanned copy of the final, completed Report Card

Note: No failed grade in any subject and in any quarter

         For Letter Grades – please provide numerical equivalent

  • Digital image of applicant’s recent 1×1 ID picture (white background)
  • Scanned proof of payment of the application and processing fee: Php 500.00
  • Scanned duly filled out application forms

SENIOR HIGH DEPARTMENT

   For Grade 11 and 12

  • Scanned copy of the PSA/NSO Birth Certificate
  • Scanned copy of the Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
  • Scanned copy of the final, completed Report Card

Note: No failed grade in any subject and in any quarter

         For Letter Grades – please provide numerical equivalent

  • Digital image of applicant’s recent 1×1 ID picture (white background)
  • Scanned proof of payment of the application and processing fee: Php 600.00
  • Scanned duly filled out application forms

Requirements for Admission (Foreign Applicants)

Requirements for Admission for Foreign Student-Applicants / Filipinos Studying Abroad

  1. SUBMIT the following documents for evaluation to the SCHOOL REGISTRAR
    • If the applicant is NOT A FILIPINO citizen

-Original PASSPORT
-PHOTOCOPY of passport biodata page and latest admission with valid authorised stay

    • If the applicant has DUAL CITIZENSHIP, submit a photocopy of PHILIPPINE PASSPORT and / or CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION as a Filipino citizen
    • Parent’s Passport (Photocopy)
    • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) / I-CARD (Photocopy of front and back portion)
    • BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR FAMILY REGISTRY
    • COMPLETE & ORIGINAL SCHOOL RECORDS of all Grade Levels attended and DULY SIGNED BY THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL (from Pre-school to last grade level enrolled in); for NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES, have the school records DULY AUTHENTICATED BY THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY located in the student-applicant’s country of origin or legal residence, both in English and in his national alphabet
    • CERTIFICATE OF ENROLLMENT of the current school year or  CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION of last completed school year
    • SPECIAL STUDY PERMIT (SSP) for a foreign student enrolled in the Philippines of the current school year or of last completed school year
    • 2 pieces of 2×2 most RECENT IDENTICAL PICTURES with white background
    • Place all the requirements in a LONG BROWN ENVELOPE

B. INCOMPLETE REQUIREMENTS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.

C. The school will inform the applicant of the status of his/her application after 5 WORKING DAYS from submission of requirements.

D. If the applicant qualifies for the entrance exam, s/he pays for the non-refundable application and testing fee at the Accounting Office. S/he will proceed to the Testing Services Office with the receipt and claim the application form.

E. The School Registrar will return the documents submitted of non-qualified applicants.

    •   OPEN slots are on first-come, first-served basis.
    •   The student applicant may start applying for entrance examination after s/he has passed the interview with the Registrar.
    •   END OF APPLICATION is on May 2020.
