Chinese New Year 2018

memo-letterhead

February 16, 2018 marks the start of the year of the Earth Dog in the Chinese Calendar. Dogs are known to be loyal and honest. The Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is a fifteen day celebration. We will celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 15, 2018 (Thursday).

This year is special for us as one of our school patriarchs, Fr. Julian Hernando, S.J. is celebrating his 90th birthday in the same week (February 13, 2018). Thus, it will be a double celebration.

The schedule for the day is as follows:
7:45 – 9:15 a.m. Inculturated Holy Mass (Gr. 3-12)
9:30 – 10:10 a.m. Program
Regular classes after the program (to be announced by respective Departments).

Early Education, Grades 1 & 2 will have regular classes.

The Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival is the most significant festivity in the Chinese calendar. As a Chinese-Filipino community, let us joyfully celebrate this special occasion by wearing Chinese Attire on February 15.

February 16 is a holiday.
